At MKCRD, research is at the heart of what we do. We are committed to empowering individuals with the skills and mentorship needed to conduct impactful research. Whether you are just beginning your research journey or are looking to deepen your expertise, MKCRD offers tailored programs and opportunities to support you every step of the way.
Basic Research Training
MKCRD provides foundational research training for those new to the field. Our Basic Research Learning program covers essential research methods, data collection techniques, and analysis tools. This training is designed to equip individuals with the fundamental skills required to undertake social research, from formulating research questions to writing reports. The program ensures that participants are well-prepared to begin their own research projects with confidence and clarity.
Research for Interns
The Research for Interns model at MKCRD offers interns a full-cycle research experience, guiding them through the entire process—from team formation and training to data collection and publication.
Step 1: Team Formation & Training: Interns are grouped into teams of 3-5 members and receive specialized training on research methodologies, proposal writing, and project design.
Step 2: Data Collection & Analysis: Teams gather data and analyze it under the mentorship of MKCRD experts, applying research methods to real-world issues.
Step 3: Report Writing & Publication: Teams compile their findings into a comprehensive research report, with guidance on how to structure, write, and present their research. Interns are supported in publishing or presenting their research through MKCRD’s platforms or external venues.
This model is designed to provide interns with hands-on experience, from conceptualization to publication, allowing them to gain a holistic understanding of the research process.
Social Research by MKCRD
MKCRD also conducts its own social research projects, focusing on critical issues that impact communities locally and globally. Our research areas include youth development, sustainable development goals (SDGs), social work grand challenges, and more. We aim to produce research that drives change, informs policy, and improves the quality of life for vulnerable populations.
Through collaborations with academic institutions, NGOs, and international organizations, MKCRD’s research is designed to make a positive impact and contribute to the advancement of social science and development studies. We invite members to get involved and contribute to ongoing research initiatives.
