MK Center for Research and Debate

Welcome to the MKCRD – MK Center for Research and Debate, where research guides action and dialogue shapes the future. We promote research, debate, and critical thinking to empower youth and support informed decision-making. MKCRD is a pro bono initiative, part of our service to schools, organizations, and communities. By nurturing critical voices, promoting evidence-based conversation, and strengthening analytical skills, we aim to foster a more thoughtful and engaged world.

What We Do

Research

We offer Basic and Advanced Research Training programs that guide emerging researchers through the full research journey—from forming ideas to disseminating findings. In addition to training, we conduct original research to address critical social issues and inform policy and practice. Our trainers and researchers include academics, practitioners, and global experts committed to nurturing the next generation of scholars.

Debate and Creative Learning

Our Debate and Creative Learning programs empower young people to express their ideas clearly, think critically, and tackle challenges through innovative approaches. Through structured debate practice, interactive workshops, and creative exercises, participants develop strong communication skills, confidence, and the ability to analyze complex social issues. Our mentors—comprising educators, experienced debaters, and creative facilitators—are committed to nurturing thoughtful, articulate, and imaginative young leaders in schools and communities.

At MKCRD, debate goes beyond competition—it is a tool for learning, critical thinking, and active engagement. We provide debate training and organize debate programs for students on a variety of topics, promoting public speaking, critical thinking, and social development. We also organize policy debates, where participants analyze complex social and policy issues, craft strong arguments, and advocate with confidence.

Academic Counseling

We provide academic counseling to support students in navigating their higher education paths and career development. Our support includes personalized advice on course selection, career planning, and opportunities for studying abroad. Through one-on-one sessions and workshops, we help learners make informed decisions, set achievable goals, and navigate pathways for academic and professional growth.
